Day Six Bangor to Oban
Dream day - Flat seas the picture above is the fleet coming into Oban.
Bangor gave us all a chance to wash down the boats and relax. The two Redbay boats had spent the night in Redbay.
Mike Thornton had given everyone detailed information of good places to stop.
The fleet left between 0900 and 1000 and headed to Port Askaig on Mull for lunch.

Flat seas on the way to Jura
Bluewater Raven went to the East of Jura and stopped near Craig House for lunch, the rest settled in warm sunshine outside the Hotel in Port Askaig, a long lunch and whisky tasting. After lunch the fleet proceeded North to visit the largest Sea Loch in Scotland on the East Side of Jura. Trinity stopped at a distillery on the way to collect some items.
At the entrance to the Sea loch there was one very well marked lobster pot, which Seahound became so drawn too, that they decided to become attached but soon divorced themselves. This is Seahounds second attachment or is it third?
Trinity stayed in the sea loch to do some fishing, this put the boat out of radio contact and almost brought the whole fleet back in search pattern. It is nice to know the buddy system works, and unfortunately the 40lbs salmon that Trinity hope to catch was not to be found.
Up through the Correywecken which was in a calm mood, and into Oban.
All had a fabulous day and fews of the islands in glorious colours, this Rally produces surprises at us at each turn.
The crew of Scooby Doo had been guests on Bluewater Raven for the day and for the second day Gordon had the lovely Natash as company.
We said goodbye to the Scoopy Doo team in Oban who head home on the train.
The forecast was looking similar for the morrow - well we thought.
