Other notes: Michael Doyle will be adding to a huge list of his adventurous exploits driving his boat SKELLIG OF SARK, an 11 m RIB with two crew members, Andy Haffenden and Dominic Croshaw. Michael has done the Round Britain 1999, the Round Ireland and Scotland several times, an attempt to Poland, Belize jungle training with Ray Mears, an Arctic Expedition (Baffin Island) and many, many sea journeys. When asked why he has entered the Great British RIB Rally he replied:” I have a newish boat fit for the task and need to do this trip in better style after roughing it in the Round Britain in 1999. I want to see this great country of ours again – and from the sea.”

Newish Boat fit for the task – Needed to do this in better style after roughing in round in 1999. I want to see this great country of ours again – and from the sea.
Q: What’s your normal day job?
I run a business that deals with international clients and helps them with tax planning.
Q: Have you ever done anything this adventurous before?

Q: Which part of the Rally are you most looking forward to?
All of it really, Ireland and Scotland will be nice.
Q: What are you going to miss most during the Rally?
My boat if we sink – my lifejacket if we lose them and I guess the wife and kids.
Q: What’s your most favourite thing about your RIB?
My cabin!!!
Q: Are you fund raising for charity and if so, which one and why?
Some fund raising for various hostels.
Q: What kind of music will you listen to on your way round?
Kings of Leon, Irish music, Radio and young Jacks skateboarding stuff.
