Comments from Christian Brash:
Q: What attracted you to enter The Great British RIB Rally 2010?
A: A friend passed me an advert on the way to see Leicester Tigers in Jan 2009. Seemed quite a challenge. Always wanted to circumnavigate the UK before I'm too old.
Q: What’s your normal day job?
A: MD at firm of timber importers. John Brash & Co. Specialise in construction timbers (Roof Battens, Cedar Shingles, Scaffold Boards, Cladding & non slip timber decking).
Q: Have you ever done anything this adventurous before?
A: Climbed Kilimanjaro last Feb. Several London Triathlons and a London Marathon.
Longest rib trip so far is Bridlington to Hartlepool!
Q: Which part of the Rally are you most looking forward to?
A: Finishing with no breakdowns or injuries!
Q: What are you going to miss most during the Rally?
A: My wife as she won't come (cannot guarantee flat water) and a hot bath.
Q: What’s your most favourite thing about your RIB?
A: Not the name (Scooby Doo, this was the previous owners, & no Scooby Scooby Doo where are you quotes please!)
Q: Are you fund raising for charity and  if so, which one and why?
A: Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice and Bassetlaw Hospice of the Good Shepherd. Both local to us.
Q: What kind of music will you listen to on your way round?
A: The sound of a humming 2 stroke (we can't agree on musical tastes)

Comments from Chris Strickland:

Q: What attracted you to enter The Great British RIB Rally 2010?

A: Circumnavigating the UK in all weather as over the 12 Days we will not have the benefit of picking ideal conditions for each leg.

Q: What’s your normal day job?

A: M.D.of C&C Electrical Wholesale Ltd. in Windsor and HMS Marine Ltd. Boldre.

Q: Have you ever done anything this adventurous before?

A: Yes I first went Round Britain with Alan Priddy in 1999, and set a World Record for Round Britain and Ireland in 2005.

There is more information about Team Seahound and records held on http://www.seahoundracing.com

Q: Which part of the Rally are you most looking forward to?

A: The West Coast of Ireland and being able to stop off and enjoy the Irish Hospitality. Apart from re- fuelling in Kilrush on the Round Britain and Ireland record run I have never been to Southern Ireland in a boat.

Q: What are you going to miss most during the  Rally?

A: Not being in Brighton to cheer Helen my wife home as she is entering the London to Brighton bike ride in aid of The British Heart Foundation. We will all be in (hopefully) Newcastle.

Q: What’s your most favourite thing about your RIB?

A: Being able to use the loo, take a hot shower and sleep on board. Some of the joys of a Scorpion Sting.

Q: Are you fund  raising for charity and  if so, which one and  why?

A: We are fundraising for The Oakhaven Hospice as they are in my home town of Lymington.

Q: What kind of music  will you listen to on your way round?

A: My favourite music is The Blues but I probably won’t be listening to any music as it will be nice to have a bit of peace and quiet.

Comments from Team Member John Adlard:

A:  To tick off another box in things to do before it’s too late.

Q: What’s your normal day job?

Q: Have you ever done anything this adventurous before?

A: I used to race cars and have “ribbed” from Northern Ireland to Southampton last year.

Q: Which part of the Rally are you most looking forward to?

A: The whole experience.

Q: What are you going to miss most during the Rally?

A: Nothing, I always look forward to boating at the least possible excuse. I’d better mention missing my wife!

Q: What’s your most favourite thing about your RIB?

A: It’s engine!

Q: Are you fund raising for charity and if so, which one and why?

A: As I’m crewing for Chris Strickland I’m supporting a Lymington Hospice.

Q: What kind of music will you listen to on your way round?
