Comments from Patrick Hugenholtz:
Q: What attracted you to enter The Great British RIB Rally 2010?
A: The fact that it is a long distance rally and not a race. Meeting new friends who share the same passion as I do and doing things that my friends believe is a crazy undertaking. Seeing parts of the country that I know that I have only seen from 30.000 Ft up.
Q: What's your normal day job?
A: Managing Director of conTeyor International. We design & manufacture returnable packaging for scratch sensitive components throughout Europe.
Q: Have you ever done anything this adventurous before?
A: No, but long distance rib cruising I have done like Gibraltar to Mallorca onwards to Barcelona and cross-channel trips to Lymington from Zeebrugge.
Q: Which part of the Rally are you most looking forward to?
A: The warm sun, the Atlantic breeze and of course meeting the unexpected, in other words the adventure.
Q: What are you going to miss most during the Rally?
A: The family and all the stuff that may go overboard.
Q: What's your most favourite thing about your RIB?
A: My T-Top as my bald scalp sunburns easily.
Q: Are you fund raising for charity and if so, which one and why?
A: Although I am from Holland, and live in Belgium I am supporting Dominic in fundraising for Cornwall Hospice Care; To give much needed funds for people in Cornwall to receive the best care at the hardest times.
Q: What kind of music will you listen to on your way round?
A: No special preferences, easy listening and in general everything that my children don't like.

Q: Which part of the Rally are you most looking forward to?
A: Seeing the West coast of Ireland and the Scottish Isles. The camaraderie of evening gatherings and the inevitable unforeseen events along the way.

A: My wonderful wife, my fabulous kids and my dog.
Q: What's your most favourite thing about your RIB?
A: The freedom it offers.

A: We are fundraising for Cornwall Hospice Care which provides end of life care for patients in Cornwall. We are lucky to be supported by St Austell Brewery who are fundraising for us in all their pubs.

A: Rock, R+B and Soul. Unless my team mate wishes different!
