Comments from Andrew Bell:

Q:  What attracted you to enter The Great British RIB Rally 2010?

A:  Having taken delivery of my first Scorpion it seemed that this was too good an opportunity to put the boat and the crew to the test.

Q:  What’s your normal day job?

A:  Financial Director / Non Exec Director.

Q:  Have you ever done anything this adventurous before?

A:  No.

Q:  Which part of the Rally are you most looking forward to?

A:  Camaraderie of the participants and the overall "challenge".

Q:  What are you going to miss most during the Rally?

A:  Apart from family, my Apple imac computer.

Q:  What’s your most favourite thing about your RIB?

A:  Everything, it makes me smile every time I stand at the helm.

Q: Are you fund raising for charity and if so, which one and why?

We are raising funds for the "Sparkle Appeal" which is being organised by the Victoria Education Centre in Poole, near where both Paul and I live.  Victoria Education Centre and Sports College (VEC) specialises in providing education, care and therapy for pupils aged 3-19 years with physical disabilities, predominantly cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy.  Some of the children’s difficulties are due to accidents, severe illness, tumours or strokes. VEC is the only charitable specialist school in Dorset that offers education, therapy and nursing (within an educational setting) for children with complex disabilities.

Details per our website: http://www.ribevolution.com

The website will evolve as the trip approaches and we wind up the fund raising.

Q:  What kind of music will you listen to on your way round?

A:  A Team talk is needed on this as I suspect we have differing views. I would certainly be looking to add to Led Zeppelin to the list, leaving Portland to the Sound of the "Immigrant song" sounds a great way to start the journey!!
